The featured movie presents the combination of NWS Mosaic RADAR, Iowa DOT Winter Road Conditions, and DOT Track-a-plow locations from Wednesday into Thursday. While the most recent system did not look like much on RADAR, a layer of ice was deposited by persistent freezing drizzle. Sunshine and warmer temperatures on Thursday helped to melt most of this away after some very hard work was put in by the road crews to improve things overnight before the morning commute.
